Information on vaccine safety or adverse effects has important impacts on public acceptance of the vaccines. 16 Several COVID‐19 vaccines have been developed and launched into the market, and some are still in the process of clinical trials. 15 Thus far, vaccination has been the best strategy to end this pandemic however, vaccination hesitancy can jeopardize the success of COVID-19 immunization programs. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 Despite numerous efforts, there is no cure for the disease. 3 COVID-19 is now a global health issue 4, 5 for which control measures such as the use of face masks, physical distancing, testing of exposed or symptomatic individuals, contact tracing, and quarantine seem insufficient. 1, 2 Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) caused coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in late 2019, which was later turned into a pandemic in March, 2020. In the past two decades, coronaviruses have caused two serious pandemics, namely severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).
